This is a part-time position with the Department of Social Services at the South Dakota Human Services Center, Yankton, SD. For more information on DSS, please visit https://dss.sd.gov .
This position participates as an active member of the medical records team and is focused on maintaining patient medical records to ensure compliance with overseeing agencies and accuracy of information. In order to achieve the purpose of the position one must be able to navigate computers easily, establish and maintain data systems, gather and provide information, maintain medical records as a whole both electronically and in paper form, and ensure and secure proper transmission of personal information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA).
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- business English including grammar, spelling and punctuation;
- Office 365;
- medical terminology;
- electronic health record; and,
- office equipment, including scanners.
