*** Shift differential 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. These positions work three 12 hour shifts per week (36 hr/week).Shifts vary for this position along with rotating weekends and holidays.
Join our team of nurses at the South Dakota Developmental Center! We have full and part time positions that can work three 12 hour shifts per week. Nurses provide healthcare to developmentally disabled person supported at the South Dakota Developmental Center. Nurses are involved in diverse cares such as chronic care maintenance, emergency response and behavioral health needs. These are provided in a clinic environment, residential dorms and also includes specialty cares via tele-health. Nurses have set schedule and will be included in a weekend rotation.
Licenses and Certifications:
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- strong nursing assessment skill, critical thinking skill, innovative, team orientated and communication skills.
- the principles and techniques of patient care;
- clinic routine and procedures;
- the care and use of medical equipment and supplies.
- evaluate client behaviors, symptoms and effects of medications;
- follow directions and communicate effectively;
- prepare and maintain records, charts and reports;
- apply nursing techniques as delegated by physicians;
- establish, direct and maintain effective relationships with patients and staff.
