The Human Resource Information Systems Senior Analyst will support and configure specialized and internal HR systems, services, and applications in partnership with counterparts in the bureaus of Finance and Management and Information and Telecommunications.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Participating in the research, design, development, testing, delivery and training of new and modified business processes, reports and tools.
- Testing data interfaces with other vendor applications.
- Providing support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR employees and other staff.
- Supporting and participating in the HR effort for installation, implementation, modification, and upgrade processes for software and applications to meet changing business and technology.
- Collaborating with staff to identify and prioritize needed improvements and enhancements to existing information services and databases; recommends and implements solutions.
- Ensuring documentation of system requirements, business processes, reporting and related systems is complete, regularly reviewed and updated as needed.
- Developing dashboards and analytics to measure activity, monitor trends, and evaluate processes that drive business decisions and process improvements.
- Compiling or assisting with acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs
- Ensuring system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
- Maintaining knowledge of trends and developments in HR technology.
- Troubleshooting issues with permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR systems users.
- Performing other duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, business, HR or related area of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- HR practices and business processes;
- MS Office and understanding of HR software systems; and,
- Power BI modeling and reporting.
Skill to:
- effectively communicate, both orally and written;
- provide excellent interpersonal and technical support;
- efficiently organize and pay close attention to detail; and
- think analytically and problem-solve.
Ability to:
- define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
This position is eligible for Veterans' Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
