GFP Intern - Naturalist (Summer)

Position Title: Intern - Park Naturalist

*APPLICANT MUST BE A FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 12 CREDIT HOURS) IN THE SEMESTER IN WHICH YOU APPLY.
Position Description: Intern will help coordinate, create and present environmental education programs for school groups and the general public. Be involved with the the development of park's medial releases: posters and public service announcements. Help with the coordination of special events.
Qualifications : Applicant must be a full-time student at a college, university or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the applicant should have at least a sophomore standing or currently be enrolled at a technical institute and have completed one year (nine months).
Preference will be given to South Dakota residents and students of South Dakota institutions.
The applicant should have the ability to work with all age groups from children to adults. Courses that are favorable for the internship are Biology, Speech, Environmental Education, Park and Recreation, Public Relations, Botany and Ecology. Must enjoy spending time outdoors and enthusiasm is a must!
Minimum Salary: $15.76 per hour
