Position Title: Intern - Naturalist (Two Positions)

*APPLICANT MUST BE A FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 12 CREDIT HOURS) IN THE SEMESTER IN WHICH YOU APPLY.
Applicant may help coordinate, create, and present environmental education programs for school groups, special groups and the general public. Be involved with the development of press releases, posters, Facebook page, and public service announcements. Help with visitor center needs such as cleaning, taking care of interpretive animals and staffing of the visitor center during the week and weekends. Help in coordination of special events.
Applicant must be a full-time student at a college, university or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the applicant should have at least a sophomore standing or currently be enrolled at a technical institute and have completed one year (nine months).
Preference will be given to South Dakota residents and students of South Dakota institutions.
The applicant should have the ability to work with all age groups. Courses that are favorable for this internship are Biology, Speech, Environmental education courses, public relations and ecology.
Minimum Salary: $15.76
