GFP Intern - Fisheries Management (Spring)

*APPLICANT MUST BE A FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 12 CREDIT HOURS) IN THE SEMESTER IN WHICH YOU APPLY.
Main job duties will include assisting with fish population surveys, angler surveys, research projects and aquatic invasive species surveys. Job duties will involve field work (netting, electrofishing, angler interviews and aquatic invasive species angler interviews and boat inspections), computer use (data entry) and laboratory work (removing fish aging structures, aging fish...). In addition, maintenance associated with vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds will be completed to help ensure smooth operation of work activities.
Applicant must be a full-time student at a college, university or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the applicant should have at least a sophomore standing or currently be enrolled at a technical institute and have completed one year (nine months).
Preference will be given to South Dakota residents and students of South Dakota institutions.
Minimum Salary: $15.76
