Licenses and Certifications:
May be required to possess or have the ability to obtain a valid driver license.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A strong Facility Worker candidate possess several key qualities, including a strong work ethic, attention to detail, a commitment to a sanitary living and working environment, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of:
perform custodial duties to provide a clean and sanitary facility;
clean and sanitize restrooms;
conduct basic building maintenance.
Skill:
scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors using dry and wet mop, wax applicators, and buffers;
vacuum and shampoo carpet;
dust and wash walls, woodwork, ceilings, and windows;
collect and remove refuse from offices and buildings;
move, lift, carry, and arrange furniture, equipment, and other object;
remove ice, snow, and debris from sidewalks, streets, and grounds to make area accessible for safe operations.
Ability to:
follow direction;
read and write;
stand for extended period of time;
lift up to 50 lb.
This position is eligible for Veterans' Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
