DSS Intern - Pharmacist I (Summer)

*APPLICANT MUST BE A FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 12 CREDIT HOURS) IN THE SEMESTER IN WHICH YOU APPLY.
This position will help teach the student the various aspects of institutional pharmacy and specifically institution pharmacy focusing on mental disorders. Duties/assignments may include filling of new orders, helping with nursing home reviews, helping with inventory, participating in doctor rounds, and working on clinical activities such as MUI's and writing information packets for new medications. The student will participate in most all functions of the pharmacist under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Qualifications: Applicant must be a full-time student at a college, university or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the applicant should have at least a sophomore standing or currently be enrolled at a technical institute and have completed one year (nine months).
Preference will be given to applicants with a junior standing. Preference will be given to South Dakota residents and students of South Dakota institutions.
Interns must be pursuing a degree in pharmacy and be registered with the Board of Pharmacy as an intern.
Minimum Salary: $21.33
