BIT Intern - South Dakota Public Broadcasting- Production Assistant (Summer)

*APPLICANT MUST BE A FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 12 CREDIT HOURS) IN THE SEMESTER IN WHICH YOU APPLY.
Assist with studio production of local public affairs program as camera operator and production assistant, work on Sports and Music production crew as camera operator and graphics operator. Operate single camera remote field production for producers and reporters and edit video packages for digital content.
Applicant must be a full-time student at a college, university or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the applicant should have at least a sophomore standing or currently be enrolled at a technical institute and have completed one year (nine months).
Preference will be given to South Dakota residents and students of South Dakota institutions.
Applicant should have taken two production classes one focused on television field production and one focused on television editing. Applicant should have studio production experience at a college station or local news station. Script writing and story telling class work would be helpful but not required.
Minimum Salary: $15.76
